El objetivo del presente estudio es determinar la prevalencia de seropositivos de anticuerpos contra Neospora caninum en ovinos de crianza extensiva en la SAIS Túpac Amaru, Junín. Se evaluaron 367 sueros sanguíneos de ovinos provenientes de la SAIS Túpac Amaru del departamento de Junín, tomando en cuenta las variables, edad, sexo y calidad genética; las muestras fueron analizadas por la prueba ELISA indirecta para la detección de anticuerpos anti Neospora caninum, teniendo como resultado una prevalencia de 0,82% (3/367) de ovinos seropositivos a anticuerpos contra Neospora caninum. Estos resultados confirman la presencia de Neospora caninum en ovinos de la SAIS Túpac Amaru y la necesidad de nuevos estudios que identifiquen la presencia de este protozoario en explotaciones ovinas del país.
